Set up pack sizes and unit conversions

Buy a box and sell smaller packs from the same stock pool.

Step by step

  1. Ask the workspace owner to enable Pack sizes & units in Settings → Inventory if your plan supports it.
  2. Edit the product and choose its base unit in Unit & stock.
  3. In Packaging, add the Pack name and Factor to base unit.
  4. Add a Pack barcode and Pack price if used, then save.
  5. Check the conversion with a small quantity before using the pack in purchasing or selling.

Good to know

A factor of 10 means one pack contains 10 base units. A pack is not a variant and must not create an independent stock pool.
