Change the generated SKU prefix

Keep generated product codes consistent.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Products & codes.
  2. Enter the SKU prefix using letters and numbers only.
  3. Choose Save prefix.
  4. Open a product form and use Generate SKU to check the next generated code.

Good to know

Generated codes continue from your highest SKU. The prefix configures generation; it does not rename every existing code.
