Set up two-factor authentication

Add a changing six-digit authenticator code to sign-in.

Step by step

  1. Open Settings → Security → Two-factor authentication.
  2. Choose Set up two-factor.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app or enter the displayed setup key.
  4. Enter the fresh six-digit code and choose Turn on two-factor.
  5. Keep access to your authenticator and review the confirmed factor status.

Good to know

An unfinished setup cannot sign you in until a code is verified. Codes work once and change about every 30 seconds.

If you get stuck

If a code is refused, check your device’s automatic time setting and enter the newest code. For sign-in-method changes, use Verify session when prompted.
